Chief Executive Officer
Vicky joined Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce as an Administrator in February 2005 after graduating at Lancaster University with a BA degree in Economics. She has since worked in all areas of the business, focusing on events, international trade and marketing in particular. In July 2013 she was promoted to Chamber Manager and more recently in September 2015 was promoted to Chief Executive Officer.
Vicky takes real pride in her work and considers it an honour to work with local businesses and wants to see nothing more than the district to grow and prosper.
When she isn't working, Vicky can be found with her husband walking her dog "Lola" on Morecambe promenade. She enjoys all things craft related, from card making to scrap booking and applies her creative flair to her work.
John joins Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce coming from a background in Corporate and Public Relations, Sales, Marketing and Administration. He has worked for multi-national companies such as Daimler-Benz and Nissan as well as SMEs in the Travel and Tourism field. For the past 15 years John has been running his own companies in Travel and Tourism, and kitchen supply and fitting.
Whilst not exactly "possessing" a local accent, John comes from a Lancastrian background and is a passionate supporter of the local area.
John is a keen cyclist, cook, reader and still actually does DIY.
Membership & International Trade Officer
Gemma has been a valued member of the team since November 2011. She has previously worked in both the insurance and retail sector, with excellent local knowledge; Gemma is the go to person for information on local business news or district developments.
Gemma was delighted when she was recently promoted to an Officer after successfully completing her studies in export documentation and certification. Gemma is the main contact at Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce for any export documentation and international trade enquiries and provides Members with international trade support and advice.
Josh joined Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce team late October 2014 through Lancaster and Morecambe College. He started with Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce though a traineeship course which involves working a minimum of 100 hours over a six-week period. The aim of the traineeship was for him to gain work experience, functional and work preparation skills and a possibility of an apprenticeship vacancy at the end of his 100 hours worked which he did achieve with Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce.
Josh's role at Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce is Business Administrator under an apprenticeship scheme, his duties include: providing administrative support to Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce management, directors and officers, performing reception duties, receiving and recording visitors plus much more.
When Josh is not at work he enjoys taking part in a number of different sports, football in particular and is a big Liverpool supporter. He also loves computers and has a particular passion for social media.
