Photographer’s Work Packs A Punch Down Under

Popular Lancaster photographer and Chamber member Steve Pendrill had a surprise booking last week. Shortly after returning from holiday in Australia, a customer rang him to arrange a publicity shoot for a new pizza restaurant he was opening in Sydney. The customer who was over holidaying at Scorton with family and had persuaded his dad to be the model. ‘I’m used to variety in my job, and this shoot was great fun as well as allowing me to reminisce with my customer about the delights of Sydney!’ said Steve.

‘I pride myself on providing a very personal service and was happy to help the customer find the right props for the photos and probably draw on past experience setting up publicity photos for amateur dramatic groups, to produce just the right image he wanted. I look forward to seeing how my image is used and if I return to Sydney I am on the promise of a free pizza!’ joked Steve.

If that wasn’t enough of a coincidence, Steve’s first wedding booking back at work was conducted by Heysham St Peter’s vicar, who is also originally from Sydney. Steve runs his own business which undertakes wedding, events and commercial photography, following his 25-year career in newspapers. www.stevependrillphotography.com
