Chamber Chat with Graham White

Chamber Chat

I am very excited to be writing my first chamber chat since joining as the Head of Operations at the start of April. I can’t believe it’s been 2 and a half months already! I am proud to be part of this fantastic organisation which dates back to the 18th Century. There is so much for me to be involved with and we never stand still, but ultimately the team and I are here to connect, support and represent the business community in our district. I am focused on building strong relationships and helping to drive forward impactful projects.

One of my first priorities has been organising a round table discussion with Lancaster City Council to talk about the proposed changes to the car parking in the city centre. The forum allowed our Ambassador members the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas to help shape the strategy. The event was well received by all parties involved and we look forward to more discussions later in the year.

I am delighted to be on the Frontierland Project Board working on the redevelopment of this iconic site. The aim is to revitalise the site for the benefit of the community and local economy, focusing on a leisure-led redevelopment.

This week, I am very excited to support Standfast & Barracks in celebrating their centenary. Their rich heritage and tradition joined with their innovation, mirrors our vision at the Chamber. My aim is to blend the history and traditions of the Chamber with innovate strategies to bring in a new era of excitement and elevate the Chamber’s profile across the district.

By all working together, we can make our community an even better place to live, work and do business!
