Sometimes, it's wonderful.....
Sometimes, it's wonderful being a woman with a career and sometimes, it's really hard work.
No matter what stage of your career you are at; the heady beginnings, the climb to the next level, the decision to change career or building your own business, it takes hard work and determination to keep going.
Often, support for Leadership development is focussed on strategic thought processes and skills with group workshops looking at business disciplines such as finance and marketing.
Whilst these are very useful for leaders, here at Lancaster Chamber, we wanted to develop something that spoke to the specific needs of women in leadership. So, last year, working in partnership with Role, (who have worked with women at both grass roots and policy level for many years), we trialled our Aspire programme, where small groups of like-minded women came together to learn in a confidential space. The feedback from the programme was superb with many of the delegates asking for a more in-depth intervention.
In response, we have developed Inspire, a ten month journey bringing together 12 women who wish to explore the heart of leadership. This holistic programme does provide a platform for sharing strategic business advice and best practice, but we will also study; the embodiment of leadership, coaching skills, women in the boardroom, resilience building, the importance of time out, reflective practice and much much more. There's even a weekend retreat to reflect, restore and renew.
We'd like to tell you more and introduce you to some of the amazing trainers involved, so, please accept this exclusive invitation to our coffee and taster morning at the Longlands Hotel, Carnforth on the 20th May (9.30am – 11.30am).
Thank you for reading the email to the end. Could this be an indication that this is your time to step into the world of inspired leadership?
