Do you have a product/service idea for the health and wellbeing sector?

Globally, traditional healthcare systems are facing significant challenges. There is a huge need for innovative new processes, products, and services that enable people to manage, access, or address their health needs differently.

At Lancaster University, the Health Innovation Campus is being built to bring together experts from across academia, healthcare and charitable organisation, businesses, and local authorities. Ahead of the building's opening, fully-funded support is available to Lancashire’s Small and Medium-sized Enterprises to explore and develop ideas for the health and wellbeing sector.

The HIC team is available to help your business to:
• Understand local health challenges and complexities
• Attend workshops to build innovation capacity in your business
• Apply the latest digital technologies to your health product/service development

Who is this for?
Owners/managers of SME's based in Lancashire who meet European Regional Development Fund criteria. Your business may be entirely new to the health and wellbeing sector and looking to explore ways to bring your expertise to the table. Or you could have an exciting idea but need support developing your product/service further.

You will also learn to use collaboration outside of your organisation as a competitive advantage. During the workshop you will be tasked to work on local health challenges, designed to help you to leverage open innovation and expand your business capability.

12th & 26th February 2020 – Innovation for Growth – Is Your Business Ready? 2 day workshop
A robust business model and a motivation to think and do things differently is essential. This interactive workshop will help business leaders to assess the foundations of the business plan. You will benchmark where your business is today. And leave with an understanding of the areas blocking innovation. You will create an action plan to overcome these barriers and have time to discuss challenges with like-minded business leaders. The workshop will be delivered over two non-consecutive days to allow time for reflection and development of your action plan.
