Lancaster BID Launch LOVE LANCASTER Brand Book

In 2023, Lancaster BID recognised the need for a central group to drive the creation of a brand that would assist them, and other organisations, to promote Lancaster as a destination. Through extensive meetings and workshops with a wide range of stakeholders, it was clear that Lancaster “has a good story to tell – we just need to tell it” and there was a need for a recognisable and consistent identity for us to do this. It was agreed that we already had a brand to take this forward – Love Lancaster – but that it would need to be refreshed and reimagined to create flexibility for multiple business, organisations, and groups across a variety of sectors to drive their own campaigns. Building on the existing Love Lancaster brand, the aim was to create a flexible brand identity that would bring to light the uniqueness of Lancaster and build an identity that enhanced all that was good, great, and distinctive about the city and uses that to our shared advantage. To create a sense of belonging and pride, making Lancaster a place people are proud to come from, a place people want to visit and a place people choose to stay and make their home. It is a group programme held online, (there is also an offline version available so you can work through the content at your own pace) that runs for 5-weeks. Throughout the programme we delve into all areas of your business to develop your strategy. We get into the business vision, the finances, operations, processes, systems, people, skills, sales & marketing and product development before creating the action plan and scorecard. By the end you will have a carefully considered, comprehensive plan of action for you to use to drive sustainable growth. Previous attendee’s on the programme have said: “Bex has helped me see things in my business that have been there for years and I've not yet taken advantage of, fixed, or analysed. Her no-nonsense approach to looking at the underlying nuts and bolts of a business is incredibly insightful. She has already helped me to develop a marketing strategy, refine my product offering, and analyse & tap into new undeveloped markets. Highly recommend any business owner looking to get more out of their existing business to give her a call and find out how she can help. Very, very good value.”
