Chamber Chat with Ruth Wilkinson

At Morecambe BID we are gearing up for the hoped-for reopening of businesses in Morecambe town centre as part of Step 2 of the road map out of lockdown.

If all goes according to plan, it will be great to see Morecambe open for business once again.

The town has so much to offer and we can't wait to start welcoming people back.

The natural beauty of our glorious seafront has been a go-to destination for exercise for many of us during the long months of lockdown.

Now as the weather improves, the days get longer and restrictions are cautiously lifted, the miles of promenade, the fabulous Stone Jetty and our golden beaches can be enjoyed even more.

Many of our pubs are getting ready to reopen for outdoor service, and our chippys, ice cream outlets, cafes and shops are preparing to welcome you too.

There is so much for the kids to do outdoors in Morecambe, including our children's play parks on the promenade, and the open spaces of Happy Mount Park and Regent Park.

All that we ask, is that when you are enjoying everything that Morecambe has to offer, that you respect others, respect the Covid-19 laws, and respect the natural beauty of our town.

Please help us to make sure Morecambe remains a safe and spectacular place to live and work, by taking your rubbish home or using the bins on the promenade.

And please socially distance from others and wear your face covering in keeping with laws and guidelines, to make sure everyone stays protected.

As Morecambe gets ready to open for business, all that remains to say is thank you for supporting our wonderful town, and we can't wait to see you all!
