Mini Beast Zoo at the North Lancs
Lurking at the mini beast stand will be a host of residents you wouldn't normally like to come face to face with! Tarantulas, snakes, lizards and giant snails await your visit...
Other residents include Frodo the dart frog and a panther chameleon (furcifer pardalis), native to eastern and northern parts of Madagascar and which can grow up to 50cm long.
There will also be a colony of Cairo spiny mice. Native to the rocky areas and hot deserts of Northern Africa, the back end of a spiny mouse is covered in tough spiny hairs, similar to the prickles of a hedgehog although not as rigid. These spines are thought to protect the mouse from predators such as owls.
Come and meet Frodo the Dart Frog and his friends! Who will be joined by his keepers at stand F04.
Come and join Pyjama Drama live for free at the North Lancs Expo 2018

So why not let your little ones join in with this interactive workshop being held on Sunday 23rd September from 11.30am – 12.30pm at Lancaster Brewery.
There will be songs and games and lots and lots of pretending. This workshop is aimed at children aged 3-7 years.

Ludus Youth Dance Company
is Ludus Dance and Lancashire’s flagship contemporary youth company. The company has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has been selected to represent the North West for four years running at the prestigious U.Dance National Festival, a performance platform for contemporary youth companies across the UK.
At North Lancs Expo 2018, the young members, aged 14-21, will perform a new piece inspired by Ludus Dance’s Mill Girls & Militants (MG&M) project, funded by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). Performances will be at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on Sunday 23rd September.
MG&M celebrates the huge contribution that Lancashire’s working class women made to the suffrage movement and how these actions changed our lives today.
Ludus Dance is looking for local volunteers, especially girls and women (16+), dancers and non-dancers, to be involved in MG&M. Email firstname.lastname@example.org , visit www.ludusdance.org, or call 01524 35936 if you’re interested and want to find out more.
