The morning session will cover all the basics of exporting, from the benefits and barriers, and essential export paperwork; to pricing strategies, Incoterms, and rules of origin; as well as looking at institutional support available and the importance of building relationships with partner organisations, like the Chambers of Commerce.
The afternoon session will be focussed on sharing experiences, identifying opportunities in overseas markets, laying the foundations of an achievable export action plan; as well as networking and asking questions.

New Exporter Mission to Ireland
Ireland is a good place for UK businesses to start exporting for the first time, as business practices, laws, systems of finance and broader culture are similar to the UK. The trade mission programme is designed for ambitious Northern Powerhouse businesses, who are new to exporting and is planned to take place in February 2022*. *subject to travel restrictions.
DIT are holding a pre-mission briefing on the 15/11/2021 and this will allow companies to:
· Find out more about the upcoming trade mission programme to Dublin, Ireland - including a detailed overview of the trade mission agenda
· Hear about the eligibility criteria and application process
· Discover the opportunities and potential for new exporters in the Irish market
· Learn about the potential funding options available
