Global Radio to launch nationwide breakfast shows
Global radio will be launching UK-wide national breakfast shows on Heart, Capital and Smooth, creating the three largest commercial radio breakfast shows in the UK.
These changes follow Ofcom’s publication of the amended Localness Guidelines for commercial radio and will enable Global to offer true national competition on FM across the UK, to BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2.
The roll out of the new national breakfast shows will commence with Capital launching in April and Heart and Smooth following later during 2019.
Drivetime will remain locally made and they will introduce new, refreshed drive-time shows across the UK. Global remain committed to local news and travel with up to the minute bulletins being delivered throughout the day.
If you have a campaign booked or currently running don’t worry, it will continue in the new shows as normal and if you are planning a campaign, they will look after you locally just as we always have.
