Greyhound Bridge closures
As previously advised, Greyhound Bridge will be closed for a period early next year to allow essential maintenance works to take place.
Lancashire County Council (LCC) Operations are already on site implementing the highway changes required in advance of the road closure. These works are being carried out off-peak and overnight to minimise disruption in the run up to Christmas
A Contractor for the main works should be in place next Friday. Once that meeting has taken place I should be able to advertise the exact start date of the road closure. The start date is likely to be end of January/early February 2018.
Variable message boards (VMS) will be installed on site from mid December 2017 giving a countdown to the road closure and advertising the LCC website where further information will be available.
In addition, four drop in sessions that have been arranged to allow members of the public to discuss the scheme directly with LCC Officers:
