LARS Communications is Recertified as an ISO 27001:2013 Provider
LARS Communications, an industry leader in radio site build, antenna system installationand tower fabrication has announced that it has been recertified as an ISO 27001:2013 provider, receiving third-party accreditation for its Information Security Management System (ISMS) from the International Standards Organisation (ISO).
ISO 27001 certification is one of the most widely recognised and internationally accepted information security standards. It is an extensive framework of requirements for “establishing, implementing, maintain and continually improving an information security management system”. Compliance with this standard confirms LARS Communications’ security management system is comprehensive and follows leading practices.
To achieve it, Lancashire-based LARS was required to satisfy the auditors from ACM Limited, an internationally focussed certification business which services thousands of clients in more than twenty countries around the world, that it ensures a systematic approach to managing sensitive company, client and individual information and related IT assets, while also ensuring that it demonstrates compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
“We are thrilled to have been recertified as an ISO 27001:2013 provider”, said Julian Cooper, Business Development Manager at LARS Communications. “This is a reflection of our commitment to the quality of ourInformation Security Management System at every level and clearly demonstrates to our customers, suppliers and other stakeholdersthat we continue to commit to the highest level of information security”.
ISO 27001 helps organisations keep all their information assets secure, such as financial information, intellectual property and employee details. By implementing a framework of policies and procedures, organisationswill be able to minimise the risk of a security breach, leading to increased business confidence and resilience.
In conjunction with the ISO27001 audit, other accreditations previously awarded to LARS were also reassessed and no non-conformities were recorded. These included:
ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard which specifies requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS). ISO 9001 certification can help an organisation to continually improve and streamline operations, reduce costs, demonstrate strong governance and work effectively with its stakeholders and its supply chain.
ISO 14001 sets out the criteria required for an organisation to follow an effective Environmental Management System, thereby providing assurances to all stakeholders that environmental impact is being measured and improved.
OHSAS 18001 is part of the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series. Compliance with OHSAS 18001 helps put in place the policies, procedures and controls required by an organisationto achieve the best possible working conditions and workplace health and safety.
Adds Mr Cooper; “These certifications represent our significant investment and commitment towards demonstrating to our customers and all other stakeholders that we have the very best systems in place. I would like to say a huge thank you to everybody at LARS for their hard work in making this possible”.
