Assistance for smaller firms wishing to access scheme with less than 30 vacancies
As you may be aware the Government recently launched the Kickstart Scheme which provides funding to employers to create job placements for 16 to 24 year olds.
The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create new 6-month job placements for young people who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.
This is part of the government’s Plan for Jobs and aims to create hundreds and thousands of new, fully funded jobs across England, Scotland and Wales. The first placements are likely to be available from November.
Funding will cover for each job placement:
However, if you are an employer looking to employ under 30 in the scheme, you cannot apply direct. The Chamber, Lancaster and Morecambe College and Morecambe BID have joined forces to act as a representative for firms looking to employ less than 30 under the scheme. We are gathering a list of businesses wishing to take part so we will, effectively, represent a cohort of over 30 to enable smaller businesses to take advantage of the scheme.
More details will be available soon but if you are interested email us on email@example.com
