At the Chamber, we’ve been building on more than a century of learning and experience, in a continuously changing social and economic landscape, and have created a trusted local business community where people and organisations can grow, thrive and feel supported.
When you walk through the door at our regular and varied events – many are hosted by our members to showcase their interesting and inspiring organisations – there will be a friendly welcome from the Lancaster & Morecambe Chamber team, and from an impressive number of our engaged and committed members.
You may join us to get known and find new customers, to tackle specific problems, to share knowledge or learn from others, and to support local development. We can all be here for many different reasons and, whatever those are, we believe that the strong, open and honest relationships and partnerships we develop at the Chamber help us to achieve our goals.
Membership means being part of a positive environment that is inclusive, diverse and representative of us all, unified by a passion to see each and every one of us succeed.
As part of the Chamber you become part of an influential network, and it’s satisfying to know that through our strength, competency and knowledge we are here to make a difference. Your individual voice will be an important part of a larger, respected apolitical and independent voice for North Lancashire. The Chamber actively communicates, nurtures relationships and collaborates with other groups representing business in the Lancaster and Morecambe area, and beyond, to provide an overarching view, strategy and focus. For this reason, key influencers and decision makers come to us to ask what our members think. We represent your opinion, lobbying at local, regional and national level to support you with the real issues that affect your local area or industry. Together, we are able to shape sustainable, economic growth and continue to make Lancaster and Morecambe a successful and desirable place to live and work.
Lancaster & Morecambe Chamber’s history dates back to the 18th Century but it has never stood still in its ambition to represent the views and needs of its members. As a not-for-profit, we are accountable to and proud of staying in tune and in touch with our members. We listen, communicate and aim to be fresh, forward thinking and innovative so that we can deliver just what a booming, modern membership needs and wants, at the right time, and in the right way to create enduring value.
