Affiliation

Lancaster & Morecambe Chamber of Commerce works with chambers across Lancashire. Our view is that by working together, we can ensure the voice of business is heard, through collaboration and sharing of best practice.  We can come together on issues of shared interest and promote the interests of businesses right across Lancashire.

To support this partnership approach, North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce has an affiliation programme. Affiliation provides an opportunity to develop complementary services, work together, share best practice, and provide a platform for business engagement with stakeholders at a high level.

The backbone of this arrangement is a service level agreement which outlines the many benefits to both Chambers.

In addition to your existing membership benefits the affiliation agreement allows the following extra benefits, which will allow you access to:

  • Chamber Networking Events (specially priced for affiliates).
  • Chamber Training Course (specially priced for affiliates).
  • Chamber Business Events (specially priced for affiliates).
  • Opportunity to exhibit at Chamber events (specially priced for affiliates).
  • Opportunity to register to receive Chamber e–newsletter.

Chamber Accreditation

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) accreditation system is designed to evaluate and improve the performance of local Chambers of Commerce. The system entitles those Chambers of Commerce that meet the standard to become a member of the BCC accredited network of Chambers of Commerce across the United Kingdom.

Accredited Chambers are required to display a ’BCC Accredited’ mark, providing assurance to business users that they have met an important and continuously updated quality standard.

Accreditation defines the quality standard for the operations of the Chambers of Commerce who form the BCC network. Accreditation helps to identify and promote good practice. The standard differentiates accredited Chambers of Commerce who provide all the products and support services required by their business members to be successful, from non-accredited chambers and other local business organisations, who do not offer the same level of business growth support. The BCC accreditation system has also been used to help develop Chamber accreditation in other countries.
