Women Mean Business

Lancashire’s Leading Ladies are set to gather for one of the region’s premier female-led business events.

Our leading line up of high-profile speakers will share with guests, their  business learnings, life experience, and advice, over a two-course lunch at the picturesque Stanley House Hotel and Spa.

Confirmed Speakers:

Sacha Hatchett – Chief Constable of Lancashire Police

Sacha is one of 19 female Chief Constables in England and Wales, a position that was held by just four women, back in 2019.  After joining the police service in February 1997, Sacha has worked within a variety of different roles across North Wales and Cheshire.

She has responsibility for over 6,000 officers and staff and has over six years of experience in the highest command ranks of assistant chief constable, having joined Lancashire Police back in 2021.

Jane Simpson – Commercial, Engineering and Capital Delivery Director, United Utilities:

Jane is the Commercial, Engineering and Capital Delivery Director, responsible for the commercial directorate, as well as Engineering and Capital Delivery division, to deliver the company’s £2 billion capital programme.

Before joining United Utilities, Jane was Operations Director at Royal Mail, a director at Severn Trent Water, and the first female Chief Engineer at Network Rail.

Jane has been nominated as one of the ‘Top 20 Inspirational Women’, was included in the Daily Telegraph’s ‘Top 50 Women in Engineering’ and named as one of the Financial Times and Cranwell’s ‘100 Women to Watch’.

Jane is currently leading a £7billion construction programme over the next 5 years, focusing on supporting women, especially in STEM areas.
